6 Fall Festival and Events in the Hartford Area

Enjoy the cooler days, fall vibes, and beer season festivities at some of our favorite 2018 Fall festivals and events in the Hartford area.

Night Fall 2018

When: October 6th from 2PM – 8PM (show starts at 6PM)

Where: Pope Park, Hartford CT

What: Night Fall is a truly magical not-to-be missed community performance that takes place each year throughout one the Hartford parks.  This year, watch Anne Cubberly’s legendary giant puppets as they dance and sing across the stage at Pope Park. Grounds open at 2PM (and we recommend coming early to get a good spot) so you have plenty of time to shop from local vendors and get something to eat from the local food trucks before the show starts at 6PM.

2nd Annual Oktoberfest!

When: Saturday, October 6th from 12PM–  10PM

Where: Alvarium Beer Co., New Britain

What: Come dance, sing, eat, and most importantly slam down pints of Alvarium’s delicious Oktoberfest beer, Hedwig at their second annual Oktoberfest! This spacious brew room is filled with games, and an outdoor space – perfect for spending the entire Saturday celebrating this epic German Autumn festival.

Glastonbury Apple Harvest Festival

When: Friday, October 12 from 6PM – October 14th 5PM

Where: Riverfront Park, Glastonbury

What: Fall wouldn’t be complete without Glastonbury’s Annual Apple Harvest Festival, featuring everything New England-y you could ever imagine. From sitting on straw bales and enjoying the funky live music to eating some of the best pies around. There will be vendors, booths, food trucks and even amusement rides. On the third day of the festival (the 14th), there’s also a 5K race starting at 9:30AM, where you’re given a complimentary hard cider as soon as you reach the finish line.

This second annual event will highlight over 30 breweries, including some of our local favorites – Alvarium, Thomas Hooker, Boondoggle Beers, and Black Hog. Each admission ticket gets you a sample mug to try from ALL the amazing breweries.

Back Alley Blaze Party

When: October 27th from 10AM – 5PM

Where: 485 New Park, West Hartford

What: Blaze and Bloom will be holding (their eighth annual!) incredible Vintage Market in the Back Alley on New Park, and this year, their celebrating Halloween too! Shop from tons of local vendors lined up selling vintage goods, handmade and local products, eat and drink from local food trucks, and celebrate only the best holiday of the year.

Crafted Hartford

Hartford Flavor Co. Hartford

When: Sunday, November 18th from 11AM – 4PM

Where: 30 & 56 Arbor Street, Hartford

What: Everyone loves a homemade gift – but sometimes it’s best to leave the ‘homemade’ part to someone else. Back by popular demand, Crafted, will be bringing together local businesses and talent in food, art, beauty and design for the second year in a row! The event will be split between Hartford Flavor Company and Real Art Ways. Guests can take a tour of Hartford Flavor Company, enjoy local food trucks, meet local business owners, join in craft classes and shop local artisans.
