6 May Events in the Hartford Area You Don’t Want to Miss

The sun is FINALLY starting to stay out, making our days both warmer and longer. With that, seems to come an angst to get out of the house and adventure out into the world.

So, check out some of our favorite May events below that will fill your weekdays and weekends with fine cheese and gourmet cuisine samplings, intense board games paired with cocktails, and even an afternoon filled with yoga and a view.

BYOBG | Bring Your Own Board Game

When: Wednesday, May 2nd, 5-9PM
Where: Spectra Wired Cafe

They supply the drinks, you supply the board games. What better way to relieve some post-work stresses then by playing some of your favorite card or board games and enjoying local craft beers, wines and cocktails.

Spectra Wired Cafe will be offering $4 beer and wines and $5 well drinks all night from 5PM-9PM at their cafe bar, Bar5 (4 hours should be enough time to complete a monopoly game, right?). Plus, order delicious Italian appetizers and entrees from Chef Lello. Plenty of seating throughout the cafe, bar and outside picnic tables!

Yoga, Hike + Kirtan

After a fresh air savasana, the group will be lead by Kirtan + chanting as you open your hearts and sing. 2nd Annual Taste of Farmington

When: Thursday, May 17th, 5:30-9PM
Where: Farmington Gardens

Calling all foodie friends: for just $50 a person, you can enjoy an all-inclusive night of sampling the best cuisine, gourmet desserts, craft cocktails, beer, and wine from 35 restaurants, farms, pastry shops, coffee shops, breweries, and wine representatives. Does that not sound like the best night ever? Live music will be playing throughout the evening by the Kenny Mehler Band and Jeff Przech. And what makes this event even better is that it will benefit two incredible charitable organizations, Gifts of Love CT and Healing Meals Community Project.

Brunch at the Bond

When: Sunday, May 20th, 1-5PM
Where: Bond Ballroom
Price: $35

This ain’t your normal brunch. Party in the Bond Ballroom penthouse after enjoying a gourmet brunch omelet station and wait for it… bottomless mimosas and bellinis, from 1-3PM. Live music will be playing until 5PM so make sure you come ready to dance. PLUS, with this ticket purchase, you will also be given the chance to win from several raffles given out at the door.

3rd Annual Spring Festival

When: Saturday, May 26th, 10AM-3PM
Where: Heirloom Market at Comstock Farre
