6 Winter Inspired Recipes from local Well + Full Blogger

When it came to putting together a roundup of the best Winter-Inspired recipes to celebrate the…. (dun, dun, dun….) First Day of Winter, I knew just who to reach out to; Sarah Aldrich, a West End Dweller, and extremely talented blogger and chef.

Sarah is the owner of the blog, Well and Full, which features “Vibrant Vegetarian Eats.” Just two years ago, she created this platform to document her adventures in the kitchen. But since then, it’s evolved into not only a passion project but her very own full-time business.

I’ve always loved food – I first got into cooking when I became vegetarian over 10 years ago. At this point in my life, I don’t attach any labels to my diet, but 99% of what I eat is vegan.”

While she grew up in Bolton, CT, Sarah now calls the Historic West End of Hartford home. Her love for the state of CT is just as strong as it is for good, quality, feel-good food.

“Connecticut’s great because we’re right at the intersection between New York and Boston, with all the amenities, but still a hometown feel.”

Sarah finds a true bliss when blogging, as she feels it merges both creativity and entrepreneurialism. She loves the process of cooking something interesting, styling it in an appealing way (which she does WAY too well) and taking a brightly colored photo. As for the social media aspect of running a blog, she thanks her success from her Business Management studies in college.

“But ultimately, I put my heart and soul into everything I cook and write for Well and Full, and that’s what keeps me going!”

And when Sarah’s not cooking or blogging? You can find her spending time with her rescue dog, Ivy, reading, playing piano, ice skating or doing yoga.

OR perhaps you’ll even find her at Ichiro in West Hartford, one of her go-to restaurants in the area.

So if you’re looking for a perfect recipe to warm up from this 10-degree weather, prepare for a holiday party, or just treat yourself – check out these delicious Winter-Inspired Recipes.
